Ashley grew up competing in both gymnastics and dance. During her eleven years as a competitive dancer in the styles of ballet, pointe, jazz, acro.,lyrical, hip-hop, tap and partnering she won many overall awards across Canada and the United States. Ashley’s passion for performing has been evidenced both on stage and screen. She has danced in two productions of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Cats, was featured in the musical Swing, played Geminae in Forum, and was seen in Seussical The Musical at Theatre Aquarius. Ashley was honoured to have performed for two seasons at the Charlottetown Festival where she played Gertie Pie in Anne of Green Gables. She also appeared with the show when it was brought to Toronto’s Elgin Theatre by Dancap Productions. Ashley’s film work includes Disney and ABC’s remake of The Music Man, starring Kristin Chenoweth and Mathew Broderick, as well as Mayhem Project’s Make It Happen. Ashley has also been featured in commercials for Smarties and Wal-Mart, and has been seen in a number of television shows including Baxter and The Rick Mercer Report. Ashley is a dedicated teacher and her choreography for children and young adults has won several awards. As a result, she has been invited to guest teach and choreograph for studios in both Canada and the United States, as well as adjudicate at dance competitions.
